Well Christmas came early for Grumpy Joe when he was sitting on the beach not catching anything as usual, when the best drum bite happen for the Spring drum season. Well over a hundred big drums were caught this afternoon and still biting at closing time. Joe landed 3 big drums and quit before being worn out because he is not use to catching any fish. Bryan landed 11 big drums. Many people fishing the point, caught their first big drum today. The Snow family from Ohio, Christine had a 47 in, Corex had a 42 in, and Brian had 44 in red drums. Sea mullets, blow toads, big sharks, and bluefish were caught today. Of course Mrs Dee Dee and I (Dan) had to work tonight. But since there was a great bite last night at high tide, maybe we will get a chance to catch some drums.
