Sea mullets from north of Avon to Hatteras were being caught in great number today. The point area, from the narrows to the tip and down to the closer area had about eight to ten big drums and some yearlings reported being caught this afternoon. Another big drum was reported up in Avon this afternoon. More big drums may have been caught, but was not reported to the store. Small black drums and bluefish were also reported today.
