An absolutely beautiful day on Hatteras Island with the water so clear you could see the bottom clearly in 8+ feet of water. This morning blue fish and a few Spanish were caught north of the point. Throughout the day we weighed big pompano including citation fish from Denise Long 2 pounds 4 ounces and George Hance 2 pound one ounce. Chris Miklosovic just missed with a one pound 7 ounce beauty. The offshore boats caught mahi, blackfin tuna and triggerfish. The sound is still seeing catches of big drum at night. We just got a fresh batch of finger mullet. The sand is extremely soft, please air down.
