Fishing kicked off with a bang this morning with numerous big drum being caught on the point, led by our own Dan “The Man” Willard.  His 46 inch fish was one of about a dozen reported this morning before the tax collector made his return spooling numerous fishermen.  Sea mullet and black drum were reported at the motels with sea mullet also being caught in and around Avon.  Blue fish were caught on the south beach with some reported over 20 inches.  This afternoon one big drum was caught from the point with bluefish also caught on bait.  The tax collector also made his appearance this evening.  Sea Mullet were caught on ramps 43 and ramp 44.

Shop News!!!!!  we have received several shipments of fresh bait including fresh tuna belly.  For those in the shop this evening, our apologies for the floor show.  As local fisherman Eugene Clinton and shop mascot John Pickard were helping our own Casey Pintar bring bait in, Big John was heard to say “ooooh boys, I love being in the middle”.  If your going to be fishing in the tournament tomorrow, we have some great rain gear so come on in and get yours.
