Fishing Report – Friday, 07/24/2020

Today, in the Sound anglers caught blue fish, puppy drum and flounder.  In the surf, Spanish mackerel and blue fish were caught off Ramp 44 and pompano off Ramp 55. What do you call a pod of musical whales? An Orca-stra.  Denise

07/20/2020 Monday

Good Evening Folks! Today there were Spanish Caught on Sting Silvers Off of Ramp 45, there were also Pompano Caught at ramp 48 on Double drop rigs with sand fleas as bait. Just brought in… a 2lb citation pompano caught about a mile and half north from the inlet about 7pm on pink shrimp fish…

All that was reported to me today was that there was a great sea mullet bite up and down the beach. Who cleans the bottom of the ocean?  A Mer-Maid.  Denise

Fishing Report – Saturday, 07/18/2020

Great fishing day at the Point…lots of large Spanish mackerel and big blue fish caught.  I weighed in a Spanish at 5 lb. 12 oz.  Sound fishing is still producing nice size speckled trout.  I weighed a speckled in at 4 lbs. 5 oz. Where do you weigh whales?  At a whale weigh station!  Denise

Fishing Report – Friday, 07/17/2020

A good Spanish mackerel bite off Ramp 44 today.  Sheephead were caught at the jetties.  Also, speckled trout were caught in the Sound. What kind of fish chase mice?  Catfish.  Denise

Lots of nice sea mullet caught at ramp 48 today and a couple were citation size and at the point today beautiful water with good Spanish fishing and sharks on artificial……

Thursday Fishing Report 07/16/20 AM

This morning the Point had Spanish, Blue fish, and 36-1/2 inch Cobia 17 lbs 1 oz  caught by Ray Lockhart/ Covington, Virginia.
