Herman Scroggins from Swansboro N.C. was fishing ramp 55 today and caught 28lb 42inch cobia, pretty nice fish from the beach , lots of speckled trout in the sound here recently and today ive heard of puppy drum pompano and croakers all in the surf….. Mike..

You can still park and walk out on the beaches and the sound still has good fishing and i’ve always had pretty good luck fishing right before a storm, you wont know till ya try.. Mike…
Pretty slow day so far only reports ive gotten have been that they have closed all the beach ramps. I guess due to the storm coming but im sure they will be back open right after the storm.. Mike….

Spanish and Blues caught again at the point, seems to be a slower bite tonight but a few were certainly caught. A good croaker bite today and one small pompano today at the point. Sharks are still pulling drag and walking fishermen down the beach. Have a great night everyone.
Today there were Spanish and Blue fish caught on sting silvers at the point. Sharks also made an appearance. Wind started to pick up today so we were lookin’ a little rough out there. Have a beautiful night everyone!
