Fishing Report – Monday, 8/27/19

It was quiet here at the shop tonight.  I heard the Point was rough and the water was dirty.  However, anglers were catching pompano off Ramp 49.  Also, puppy drum were caught in the Sound right outside of Buxton towards Avon. What do you get when you cross a snowman and a shark?  Frostbite!  Denise

Fishing Report – Sunday, 8/25/19

Regardless of the wind, Spanish mackerel were caught this morning at the Point.  Also Spanish mackerel and blue fish were caught off Ramp 48. What did the fish say when he posted bail? ” I’m off the hook!”  Denise

Fishing Report – Saturday, 8/24/19

Today there were some Spanish mackerel, a few blue fish and shark caught at Cape Point.  I heard that three large red drum were caught in Nags Head. Why did the shark spit out the clown?  Because he tasted funny!  Denise  

Fishing Report – Friday, 8/23/19

It was a nice day for fishing.  Today’s catch were blues, croakers, Spanish mackerels and lots of ribbon fish at Ramps 43, 44, and 45. Where do fisherman go to get their haircut?  the bobber shop.  Denise

Thursday Fishing Report 08/22/19 PM

That wind was a little tuff today. There were a few Sea Mullet caught on Ramp 43 and 44. Hatteras had a few Spanish and blue fish. North of Avon had some Sea Mullet and blue fish. This evening a couple of Spanish and Sharks at the Point. The wind is suppose to switch tomorrow…

Wednesday Fishing Report 08/21/19 PM

This morning  on the Point good blue fish and Spanish fishing. This evening the wind picked up and the water got a little dirty. The Sharking fishing was good. The sound had good Speckle fishing and a few Puppy Drum. Have a Great Day fishing. Dede

Fishing Report – Sunday, 8/18/19

Today croaker and ribbon fish were caught of Ramps 43 and 44.  If you are interested in shark fishing, spinners are being caught at the Point. Why is a swordfish’s nose 11 inches long?  If it were 12 inches long, it would be a foot.  Denise

Fishing Report – Saturday, 8/17/19

Due to the weather, not much to report.  However, there were a lot of blue fish caught this morning at Ramps 43 and 44.  Also, we weighed in a 1 pound, 1 ounce gray trout today. Why should you never fight an octopus?  Because he’s too well armed.  Denise

Fishing Report – Friday, 8/16/19

Those die hard anglers that ignored the weather and went fishing anyway caught their fair share of Spanish mackerel this morning at the Point and sea mullet south of the Point. Where does a killer whale go for braces?  The orca-dontist.  Denise

Thursday Fishing Report 08/15/19 PM

We dodged a lot of the rain in Buxton and do you know why? BUXTON BUBBLE. Earlier today at the Point some Croakers were caught. This evening south of the Point plenty of Spanish. I weight one 5 lb and 7 ounce Spanish. North of Avon some Sea Mullet, Pompanos and Croakers. Have a Great…
