Fishing was a little slow today in Buxton. Couple citation pompano caught at ramp 43 this morning on sand fleas. Citation drum caught in the sound today on artificial. Some sharks caught near the point as well. Have a good night!

Nice size Spanish caught in the hook off ramp 44 again tonight. A citation pompano was also caught in the same area. Spanish behind the motels. Pompano on ramp 43 and down behind the houses in Hatteras. Have a great night……………..RDT!!!!

Today was a solid day for fishing. There were 6 citation pompano caught off of 43 and the Spanish bite was insane at 44. There was a nice bite on the north beach, but it was explosive on the south beach down the corridor. There were also blues and a yearling drum in the mix…

Three cobias caught at ramp 38. One was a citation at 44.5 pounds. Citation pompano caught off the point. Weighed citation speckled trout from the sound. 4-pound, 13 Oz Spanish Mackerl caught at ramp 44 during a hot bite in the afternoon and evening. Great day of fishing in Buxton. Have a great night.

Brett Barley (Buxton) brought in this citation Cobia caught with a bucktail while fishing via jet ski. The Cobia weighed in at 53 pounds and was 50 inches long. Blues, sharks, rays and croaker down at ramp 55. Plenty of puppy drum and specks in the sound.

Scattered puppy drum on 43 and 44 today. A couple of spanish mackerel from the dune road access at the point, pompano at 55. We got fresh mullet! Come and get it!

Thursday 5/26/22

Jason and Joshua (from Hickory, NC) caught their share of Sheepshead today near the Bonner Bridge using sand fleas. Jason’s Sheepshead weighed in at 9 pounds, 2 ounces. Joshua’s weighed in at 6 pounds, 12 ounces. Thelma brought in this 3 pound, 15 ounce Pompano caught at ramp 55 on shrimp.
