First Time Posters - NEW!
The first thing you need is a working email address. If you don't wish to provide a working email address with your posts then we don't need to go any further. You may read, but you may not post. Sorry about that.
If you don't mind sharing an email address, then the first thing you should do is to find out if you know what your email address is and make sure it works by sending yourself an email. If you get an email from yourself you can be reasonably sure it works - you may continue.
Visit the link in the board header named "Create Profile". Create your profile by filling out the name you wish to use (handles are ok), then filling in the working email address. You may type some info about yourself if you wish, but this part isn't necessary - you may edit this later at any time by following the link named Edit Profile (after you Create Profile the link will change to Edit Profile - your cookie will know that you already have a profile - one per customer). When you are done, click Save Profile.
Get your email. You have received a system email with a system password... from - you guessed it - the system. You need this password. Don't delete this message. At least not yet. Don't try to type this password. It almost never works because it's some strange combination of letters and numbers, some caps and some not. Copy this password from the system message and prepare to paste it in the next step.
Now that you have the password copied, Visit the board (you really didn't have to go anywhere, did you?) and now follow the link named Edit Profile. Follow down the page a bit until you reach the empty box that will contain your system password. Paste that puppy in there. Follow down to the next line and fill in a password of your own choosing. Type it twice. Make it a password that you can remember easily because I have no idea what it is if you forget it. Check the box that says: Save Password then click the button that says: Save Profile and you're done.
Welcome to the forum.
How to post an image or picture on the board:
First make sure you image has a web location - posting pictures from your local disk won't
work. Once a web presence for your image has been secured use the
Optional Image URL box and paste the URL of your image in it. Use
the preview function to see if the image is working correctly, and then
if it is, go ahead and post. If the image does not work in preview,
it will not work in the final post. Your post will be flagged with
a
to let everyone know there is a picture in your post.
